I extruded the vector file I had straight in Blender, then extruded it and beveled it for the look it has.

I recently got digital tutors basic membership, so I was able to follow a tutorial to make this in Maya. I'll definately be following tutorials on Maya, the corporate standard from now on, mostly alongside Photoshop. Only being able to follow a tutorial without a reference image makes it hard to actually do most of the tutorials.
